Problems to be addressed

  1. Accurate mapping of the area: reliably operate in a GPS-degraded environment or GPS-denied environment and in the absence of an exact map
  2. Navigation in a dynamic and unknown environment: RR (rescue robot), required to navigate in unknown environments, where structures are damaged and changed
  3. Finding survivors: RR required to detect and differentiate between debris and humnans under different, light conditions, deal with blockages, and recognize deformed shapes
  4. Communication: RR required to communicate with rescue team outside damaged space. may have to rely on large databses and proccessing power of central computers
